Channels

One agent, seven channels — the same colleague everywhere

Fleece AI Team makes every agent in your organisation reachable on seven channels at once: WhatsApp, phone calls, Slack, email, Telegram, SMS and web chat. Each channel has its own setup and provider, but the agent carries one identity across all of them — the same system prompt, the same knowledge sources, the same personality traits and the same cloned voice. A customer who messages your support agent on WhatsApp gets the same answer as a colleague who asks it in Slack, because there is only one agent behind both.

Pick your channel

  • WhatsApp

WhatsApp Business API, voice notes, message templates, and the 24-hour window rule.

  • Phone

Twilio-powered phone calls with the agent's cloned voice — inbound and outbound.

  • Slack

Per-channel routing, threads, and the same agent answering across your workspace.

  • Email

Draft mode or send mode, attachment processing, and async conversations.

  • Telegram

Telegram bot with group support, inline queries, and voice note responses.

  • SMS

Universal reach — every phone receives it, no app needed. Twilio SMS/MMS.

  • Web chat

JavaScript embed, customisable widget, and real-time visitor support.

Why one identity across channels matters

Teams that wire automation per channel end up maintaining parallel descriptions of the same colleague. The Slack bot knows the refund policy, but the WhatsApp bot does not, because someone updated one and forgot the other. That drift is not a bug — it is the natural outcome of seven separate configurations.

Fleece AI Team avoids it by design. There is one agent profile. The system prompt, the knowledge documents, the personality traits and the cloned voice live there, and every channel reads from the same source. Update once, and the change is immediate on all seven.

This is not a feature list for its own sake. It is the difference between an agent that exists during a call and a colleague that exists. The support agent that answered in the meeting is the one your customer messages on WhatsApp that evening, and it answers consistently because there is one profile behind both.

Different providers, one agent

Each channel runs on a different underlying service: WhatsApp on the WhatsApp Business API, phone calls and SMS through Twilio, Slack as a Slack app, email through a connected mailbox, Telegram as a Telegram bot. The setup for each one is different — some need an OAuth connection, some need a phone number, some need a bot token.

What is the same is what the agent does once it is connected. It reads messages, follows the conversation, applies the instructions on its profile, and answers in its cloned voice. A voice note on WhatsApp and a direct message in Slack both trigger the same agent with the same knowledge.

Which channels to turn on

Not every team needs all seven. A support team that primarily talks through email and a ticketing system may not need WhatsApp or Telegram. A sales team that follows up with prospects on phone and WhatsApp may not need Slack.

The practical rule is to start with the channels where your customers or your team already talk, then add the rest. An agent with no conversations on a channel is an agent that is not doing anything there — and every channel you connect is one more place for the agent to show up.

Questions, answered

Does the agent keep the same voice on every channel?

+

Yes. The cloned voice you create on the agent's profile is used across all seven channels. A voice note on WhatsApp, a phone call and a web chat all use the same voice — the agent sounds like itself wherever it answers.

Can I turn individual channels on and off?

+

Yes. Each channel is independent: you can connect WhatsApp without connecting email, or Slack without phone. Turn on the ones your team or your customers actually use.

Do all channels come with the Team plan?

+

Yes. The Team plan covers all seven channels. The free plan covers up to 2 agents, and the Scale plan adds unlimited agents and meeting minutes.

Can the agent handle conversations on multiple channels at the same time?

+

Yes. The agent reads from one profile and answers on every connected channel. Conversations are independent — a WhatsApp chat does not interfere with a Slack message.

What happens when the agent does not know the answer?

+

It responds according to its system prompt — which you can instruct to say it does not know, to defer to a human, or to suggest the customer try something else. The behaviour is the same on every channel.

Do I need separate accounts for each channel?

+

No. You connect each channel to your agent from the Fleece AI Team dashboard. The underlying providers (WhatsApp Business API, Twilio, Slack) are managed by the platform.
