Your AI agent on your website

Embed a web chat widget on your website and your Fleece AI Team agent starts answering visitor questions in real time. The widget connects to the agent's profile — it reads the same instructions, draws on the same knowledge sources, and carries the same identity as on WhatsApp, Slack or email. A visitor who chats on your website gets the same answer as a customer who messages on WhatsApp, because there is one agent behind both.

A chat widget, a real agent behind it

Most website chat widgets connect to a rule-based chatbot or a human support team that may not be available. The widget from Fleece AI Team connects to your agent — the same one that answers on WhatsApp, Slack, email, phone and in video meetings.

The visitor sees a chat bubble on your website. They click it, type a question, and the agent responds — in real time, drawing on the knowledge you attached to its profile. The conversation flows naturally: the agent asks follow-up questions, adapts its response, and handles the cases it knows.

The agent does not replace a human for complex support cases. It handles the questions it can answer, and when it cannot, it follows the escalation instructions you gave it — whether that is suggesting documentation, transferring to a human, or asking the visitor to call.

Embedding the widget

The widget is a JavaScript snippet you paste on your website. No server-side code is needed — the widget connects to the Fleece AI Team platform, which routes the conversation to your agent.

You can customise the widget's appearance from the dashboard: the colour, the position on the page, and a welcome message that the agent shows when the visitor opens the chat. The welcome message can invite the visitor to ask a question, or it can list the topics the agent can help with.

The widget works on any website — it does not require a specific platform or framework. If you can add a JavaScript snippet to your page, you can add the chat widget.

Where web chat fits

Website support is the most common case. A visitor lands on your site with a question — about pricing, about a feature, about an order — and the agent answers immediately, without the visitor needing to find a contact page or send an email.

Lead qualification is another. The agent can ask qualifying questions, collect contact information, and route qualified leads to your sales team. The conversation history is available in the dashboard, so your team can see what the agent discussed with the visitor.

The widget does not replace a contact form or a human support page. It supplements them — answering the questions it can and deferring the ones it cannot to a human colleague.

How to add the web chat widget to your website

  1. 01

    Create or select the agent

Open the agent's profile in the Fleece AI Team dashboard. Configure the instructions and knowledge the agent will apply to web chat conversations.

  2. 02

    Customise the widget

In the Channels section of the dashboard, configure the widget's appearance — colour, position, and welcome message.

  3. 03

    Copy the embed snippet

Copy the JavaScript snippet from the web chat section of the dashboard.

  4. 04

Paste the snippet on your website

Add the snippet to your website's HTML — typically before the closing body tag. The widget will appear on every page that includes the snippet.

Questions, answered

Does the widget work on mobile?

+

Yes. The widget is responsive — it adapts to mobile screens and functions the same way as on desktop.

Can I customise the welcome message?

+

Yes. The welcome message is configured in the dashboard. You can invite the visitor to ask a question or list the topics the agent can help with.

Does the widget collect visitor data?

+

The widget collects the conversation content — what the visitor types and what the agent responds with. It does not collect visitor data beyond the conversation. If you want to collect email addresses or other information, you can instruct the agent to ask for it.

Can the agent handle file uploads from the widget?

+

The agent can receive file uploads through the widget and extract text from images and PDFs. It does not process all file types.

What happens when the agent does not know the answer?

+

It follows the instructions on its profile — it can say it does not know, suggest documentation, or defer to a human colleague.

Can I have multiple widgets on different pages?

+

Yes. The same widget snippet works on every page of your site. The agent reads the page URL and can adapt its response based on which page the visitor is on.
